I broke a world record today.....

“Fourscore and seven years ago…” Today I was part of a world record. That’s right; I’ll be in the Guinness Book of World Records soon. At 9:30 a.m., in honor of Abraham Lincoln’s 200th birthday, every student and teacher in Illinois read out loud the Gettysburg Address. We had to sign a petition that will be sent to Guinness, and we’ll see the results in a few months!!

On the training front, I have been back for two days after taking three off due to a horrible stomach flu I had over the weekend. Got in about 1:30 on the bike yesterday morning, with about 40 minutes at 220-230 watts. Swam this morning, and will lift later this evening. I’m eager to get back to bigger volume training, as the weather is slowly warming up! Later.

  1. Congratulations on your school "Lincoln" accomplishment. Glad that you're feeling better & stronger. Also, since you'd like warmer weather, I promise not to pray for any more snow!
